Our Doctrinal Statement
I. The Scriptures
God has revealed
Himself in history, and that revelation has in turn
been recorded in a verbal and plenarily inspired,
inerrant and infallible Bible in its original
manuscripts. (II Peter 1:20-21)
2. The Trinity
God is three Persons in
one God in a tri-unity and each member is
co-essential, co-eternal and consubstantial that is
equal in essence, existence, and power.(Matt
3:16-17)
3. The Christ (Person & Works)
Jesus is fully God and
fully man without any mixture of those two natures;
He has always existed; and was virgin born and lived
a sinless life while on earth so that He could be
offered up as a perfect sacrifice atoning for His
church; He died on the cross to redeem His church
from their sins but was raised three days later that
we might have Justification, Sanctification and
Glorification: He then ascended on high to the right
hand of God the Father where He makes intercession
for believers until the day when He will return to
Earth to establish His Millennial Kingdom. (Col.
1:17ff, 2:9; Heb. 1:1-4; Matt. 1:18-25, 4:2; John
1:14, 4:6, 19:24, 28; Acts 7:57; Romans 8:34; I John
1:1-4)
4. The Holy Spirit (Person & Works)
The Holy Spirit is a
person that is fully God who convicts the world of
righteousness and judgement of sin and draws the
sinner to the cross of Christ; for the believer He
empowers, indwells, teaches, intercedes for, brings
about sanctification, bestows Spiritual gifts; He
baptizes the new believer into the body of Christ,
and fills the believer. (Acts 5:3-4; Eph. 4:30, 5:18;
John 5:32, 14:12-17, 16:8-14; Romans 8:2-11, 26-27; I
Peter 4:11; Galatians 5:23)
5. Man
Man was the unique
creation of God on the sixth day around eight to ten
thousand years ago in perfection, but he fell into
sin while in the Garden of Eden: this fall made man
totally depraved before the holiness of God and
totally unable and incapable of saving or doing
anything to bring about his salvation; and therefore
stands condemned before a holy God, and if he dies
outside of the grace of Christ will spend an eternity
in hell. (Gen. 2:7, 3:1-5; Acts 4:12; I Cor. 15:45;
Romans 3:9-18; Eph. 2:1-3)
6. Salvation
God has brought man
unto Himself by grace through the death of Jesus
Christ because of His love for fallen man; this
salvation is based upon God's good pleasure and
sovereign will alone; God justifies, sanctifies, and
glorifies us according to the righteousness of
Christ; God regenerates man bringing about his
conversion making man a new creation so that he can
live a righteous and holy life now and abide in
heaven one day without any threat of ever losing what
God has given as a free gift. (Rom. 5:8-9, 8:28-30;
2Cor. 4:6; Eph. 1:4-5; Gal. 3:6; Col. 1:9; I Thes.
1:10)
7. The Church (Ordinances & Mission)
The universal church or
body of Christ consists of the regenerate both in
heaven and on earth and it is to be manifested on
earth in a local body with Christ as its head; it
consists of members who have been saved and have
followed in baptism by immersion and who have all the
rights and privileges, including the Lord's Supper,
fellowship, the exercising of Spiritual gifts and
ministry while seeking to fulfill the Great
Commission locally and through out the world; it has
two ordained offices, Pastor and elders. (Acts 6:1-7;
ICor. 12:27; Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 3:11; Rom. 11:25-26;
2Cor. 6:16; Col. 1:24-28)
8. Last Things
The Bible states that
Jesus will return bodily and literally... (Matt. 24;
Mark 13; Luke 21; I Thess. 4:13-18; Rev.)
9. Angels
The Bible teaches that
God created beings called angels as beings of praise
and as His messengers; one third of these angels
rebeled against God led by an angel called Satan and
was cast out of heaven and is now the enemy of the
righteous and good; and he will be cast down to hell
at Christ's last judgement. (Luke 10:18; I Pet. 5:8;
Rev. 20:2)
